Natural, Handworked Dining Tables

  • The unique natural edges of live edge dining tables make them an eye-catching centerpiece in any dining room or kitchen. They also provide a connection to nature and the outdoors, bringing a touch of the natural world into your home. Live edge dining tables are not straight or perfectly cut, but rather follow the natural curves of the wood. The term "live edge" refers to the fact that the wood is left in its natural state, without any trimming or alterations made to the edges.

Solid Hardwood

  • We use a variety of American hardwoods. Primarily Black Walnut, Ash, White Oak, South American Walnut. All of our slabs and lumber are kiln dried to prevent wood movement and reduce the risk of warping and cracking. 

Commercial Grade Finish

  • All of our tables are finished with a high quality, commercial grade, conversion varnish finish that will protect against everyday wear and tear. 

How To Customize Your Live Edge Dining Tables?

1. Choosing The Right Size & Legs

The options we offer are approximate sizes for live edge tabletops, as the edge shape of naturally grown wood is uncontrollable. Each piece of lumber is around 1.5-2” thick. For example, the black walnut tabletop in the picture below has a length of 86”, a minimum width of 29.5”, a maximum width of 35.4”, and a thickness of 2”.

2. Pick Out Your Slabs

After receiving your order, we will search for the most suitable slab for your order in our existing inventory and send the detailed dimensions, photos, and videos of the slab to your email. (Please make sure you fill in the correct email. If you do not receive any email from Services@huokst.com within 3 working days, please contact us directly via our email with your order ID.)

3. Finishing

After you select and confirm your tabletop, we will sand it down. And then apply a conversion varnish finish to give it the perfect look and protection it deserves. After this, we will ship your order.

  • Really solid wood finishes may change over time, and natural wood may display small splits, knots, joint lines, or other features that will add character to your piece without affecting its quality or performance.
  • For best results, follow Care guide for all cleaning products carefully. Do not over apply.
  • To prevent moisture damage (like water rings), wipe up spills immediately with a soft, dry, undyed cloth.
  • Do not clean using abrasives, harsh, corrosive chemicals, or care products containing ammonia or silicone, as these could damage finishes and surfaces.
  • Avoid placing indoor furnishings in direct sunlight or near sources of heat or moisture, as this could cause cracking or changes in finishes.
  • When assembling new wood furnishings, avoid overtightening hardware as this could cause cracking.
  • Never place hot dishes directly on wood surfaces as this could cause scorching. Similarly, prolonged use of hot electrical equipment may also cause scorching.
  • Protect surfaces from incidental marks (like scratching, scorching, and water marks) by using coasters, trivets, felt pads, and non-plastic mats.
